What People Feel

"The best meal we’ve had in Lyon. While the city’s reputation is built on the bouchons, it is restaurants like Regain that ensure the future. From the amuse bouches to the starters, mains, and dessert, we loved every course. The Armenian red wine was a revelation. The service was efficient and warm. The room is quietly luxurious. The music hung in the background and made conversation possible."

"Overall, everything was tasty and well prepared, but it was not surprising, which is what one would expect from a high-end restaurant. Additionally, the portions were extremely small(the meat must not have been more than 100 grams.) The place is very intimate, so when you enter, there is a curtain, and as soon as you step inside you are immediately facing all the tables and receive everyone’s gaze, which does not make you feel very welcome. The service was polite and attentive. The whole experience felt overly curated, as if everyone was fitting into a specific concept rather than being natural."

"This was an experience to remember! We opted for the tasting menu. Each dish was well explained to us and all were delicious. The sommelier also had great knowledge. All in a lovely atmosphere, I will definitely be back."

"Best meal we’ve had in France, and one of the stand out meals we’ve had traveling Europe for almost 4 weeks now. Everything was perfectly executed, great creativity and very well balanced. So glad we got to try it having only a day in Lyon! Thanks for the great food and service."

"WOW. Just wow. I’m so glad I booked this as my first dinner in Lyon. They are super busy full house packed during prime dinner time but every single dish is incredible. I cleaned every single plate (got the tasting menu) I thought it would be too much food for someone like me, but everything is soooo good I just keep eating. Flavor profile is well balanced. You’re not stuffed to death at the end of dinner, you’re full and still savoring every bite of the meal. Thank you so much for the amazing dinner. Will definitely revisit the next time I’m back in Lyon and recommend it to friends and family!"

"The slightly worn 70's decor is surprising for this Michelin level restaurant. Thankfully, the food quality and excellent service made up for the rest. Impressive fusion style with accent on Asian sauces. The tuna and rabbits are divine! One desert however has too many ingredients to the point of confusing the palate Highly recommended though!"

"We had a lovely weekday lunch at Regain. The restaurant was packed, which says a lot about the quality of the food they serve. We enjoyed the entire meal, from the amuse-bouche to the dessert. The highlight was our main dish of lamb — incredibly flavorful and perfectly tender. Since they change their menu weekly, we’ll definitely be back again!"

"We had the degustation menu and were thrilled, some food combinations were certainly on the more daring side, but we liked it very much. The staff were very friendly and especially the sommelier did a great job with the wine selection and service at the table. Would recommend it to others!"
